Back in 2015, my boss gave me a special assignment: along with another editor, I was to create a new digital publication that would feature career and finance advice. The other editor, Meleah, and I spent six months researching our target market, putting together a marketing plan, and creating the brand for Earn Spend Live.
Earn Spend Live became a lifestyle website for women—helping them navigate their career, manage their finances, and figure out how to be an adult—and the go-to source for planner and subscription box reviews. In addition to overseeing a team of writers and editors, I also managed Earn Spend Live's social media presence (including Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, and paid Facebook marketing).
I became a published author in December 2018 with the release of You Goal, Girl: A Goal-Setting Workbook and Common Cents: A Budget Workbook (both of which I co-wrote with Meleah Bowles). They are available at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Books-a-Million.
In December 2019, our third book together, Life Unplugged: A Digital Detox Workbook, was released.
You Goal, Girl on the Local News
Meleah and I discussed our book, You Goal, Girl, on Good Morning Arkansas in January 2019. (We also made an appearance to promote Common Cents in April 2019, but they never released the video...if anyone at Channel 7 sees this, my mom would really appreciate it if you uploaded our segment. Thank you!)
Copyediting for Lethal Red Riding Hood
I spent the first part of the 2020 quarantine copyediting the manuscript for Lethal Red Riding Hood, a dark fantasy written by Ann Marie and Leonard Wilson.
